Lucky 7

YouTube has the trailer for this short-lived TV show. Might be worth hunting up the episodes.

  1. I'm trying to recall if I was at all aware of this at the time, but I can't. By that point I was already a few years into DVR-driven viewing, so skipping most commercials was already part of the process. Looking back at the programming grid for that fall, I see it was a Tuesday night, 10 pm Eastern show, and at that point I had the DVR doing its best at 8 and 9, recording two other shows during each of those hours, so by the time 10 rolled around I was most likely watching one of those four shows.
With eight episodes shot, but only two aired - the pilot drew the lowest fall drama ratings in ABC history - it was a blink and you've missed it item. The write-up doesn't say anything about it beyond when the network finally dumped the run to i-Tunes, where people would be asked to pay to watch each episode.
One last note, this is another case of a show that was a U.S. remake of a successful British series: The Syndicate. That show (albeit with typically smaller seasons - or series as they're inclined to call them there) ran in 2012, '13, and '15, and is set to return with a fourth later this year. Each series focuses on a new winning group. Some of this (series 3, at least) is over on YouTube, albeit in an irritatingly tiny-screen (roughly one quarter, centered at the bottom) format, which is probably why they haven't been pulled down.
