The Consortium Year 1:

Sunday Contributor   I'm Oldgirl, the Sunday contributor. Currently residing in Southwest Florida where I teach elementary grades and enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Gulf Coast. Originally from  the fragrant foothills of SC, I've spent years in St. Louis, MO and in Columbus, OH.  I've not considered myself a writer, but I hope to learn more about it while having fun with this project. Thanks, Garbo, for inviting me!

I hope, you, too, find some enjoyment on these pages.

Monday Contributor  Bryan F. was the Monday contributor when the blog betgan. Since then,  guest bloggers covered the remaining Mondays of the first year for us.

Tuesday Contributor   Garbo has written for newspapers and magazines since 1974. She's the author of novels including Rusty: How Me and Her Went to Colorado and Everything, Except Not Really, which can be found here.

Wednesday Contributor
Nan (aka Saga) writes plays, creative nonfiction, poetry sometimes and has parts of a novel sitting in a file somewhere.

Thursday Contributor    Joseph Finn writes for C7 on Thursdays. He lives in Chicago.

Friday Contributor  Mike is a widowed father of two now adult sons, and has lived in Eastern Pennsylvania most of his life. A lab director for a consulting engineering firm, he wandered into this line of business over thirty years ago, and is nervously eyeing a less than ten year path to retirement, all while trying to regain his health. He’s written (non-technical pieces) solely for the sake of focus, communication and pre-social media socializing, not professionally. Going back over several decades, from blogging, to correspondences and zines, the latter including being part of Amateur Publishing Associations. A near life-long comic book fan, he’s lived to see some version of his four-color affection move into the mainstream. As with so many of us, he’s been so bound for so long by obligations that he hopes to discover what he really wants to fill his days with while there’s still time.

Saturday Contributor   Esther Green:  From the frequently dark but always silver Aberdeen in Scotland. Likes cats, music, books, birds, beer, art & complaining but the order varies. Teaches for cash. There’s not much time for anything else.

Freelance Contributors:

Rey Don'tsay: I'm the weird, confused, unaccomplished one from North Texas. I've led a pretty crazy life, maybe that's enough to make some interesting slams on it. Don't know. You decide.  If highs, lows, religion, anti-religion, mental health, physical health, and doing lots of nothing and still surviving is your thing, then I might be worth a peek. Hugs to you, whatever we both are in our journeys. Getting by needs hugs. (Ohh, I should let you know I'm paralyzed. Paraplegic from the upper chest down from cancer that's incurable. That means I get to say anything crazy and off-the-wall and you get to take it. Ha! Not really. I will comport my consort in good sport. Consort ((hee hee)).).

Angie R. resides in Texas. "Not formally trained in writing. Just a hobby. I have varied iAnterests. Music, artistic endeavors, care giving, reading, writing, nature. I am excited to be part of this project."

Jeff Cawhorn: The Life and Times of Your Industrious Working Boy. My mother groaned! My father wept! Into the dangerous world I lept! My father was a career Air Force Non-Com. He enlisted in 1947 just before they split from the Army. My parents moved around a lot due to his job, but my brother and I always tracked them down. I'm college educated (UTA) but seem to be living out Philip Larkin's The Winter Palace: Most people know more as they get older: I give all that the cold shoulder. I spent my second quarter-century Losing what I had learnt at university.
I moved to Minnesota in 1985 for the same reason I do most everything: it seemed like a good idea at the time. I guess I like it fine so far. I may or not have been married. The Catholic Church says I wasn't so I guess I should play along. I live alone with my cat, Suzie, who more or less tolerates me. I enjoy a number of things and hope to share them with the group.
